“ Fourth KCF Blind Cricket Tournament, 2023”

Feb, 11 th ,2023: Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal in joint collaboration with Madise Blind Cricket Association conducted the mixed blind cricket tournament from the very date of 8 th to 11 th February at cricket ground of Narayani stadium, Birjung of Parsa. The competition was held between the KCF funded two old locations Chitwan and Morang and two New Districts Gorkha and players from Madise province including Mohattari. The curtain of the tournament was raised by the Mayor of Birgunj Metropolitan city Mr. Rajesh man Singh in presence of other local dignitaries, while the series was raised by the Deputy Chief District officer of Parsa District Mr. Chundamani Paudel in presence of Mr. Rabindra
Kumar from Indian Embassy and other dignitaries. The team of Madise province lifted the trophy of the tournament remaining unbeaten in the whole series and beating the team Gorkha with 167 runs. Mr. Nabin Tamang of Madesh province lifted the player of the series trophy. Out of the 68 total players, 22 were female of which Ms. Vinita Pun of Gorkha team became player of the match twice against the Chitwan and Morang competitions , while Ms. Mankeshi Choudhary and Ms. Ujeli Choudhary of Maidesh team became player of the match against Gorkha in the league and the final day matches respectively. As this competition has had happened for the first time in the Madesh province, it has been a very impactful event in terms of creating awareness, showcasing the hidden caliber of the visually impaired boys and girls and sensitizing the local Government towards making disability friendly sports plans and policies. In addition to KCF, Birjung Metropolitan city had also extended their supportive hands to make this event happen in their locations.
